On Saturday-evening the decisive game 3 will be played in the women’s championship finals. T71 will host Résidence in a game that looks like a potential thriller to come. What do the coaches of the other teams in the women’s Total League say about this game. They answered the question « Which team will win and why? »
Fabienne Fuger (AB Contern)
Résidence Walfer has had an amazing run but this Saturday, I think that T71 will use its experience and home-court advantage in its favor and win the game, but it will be a hard-fought game.
Tom Kries (Sparta Bertrange)
I think that T71 will win the title. In my eyes, they have the best package (experience, talent, Luxembourgish players, professional players and coaches). Furthermore, they have deserved this title if one takes a look at the entire season.
Thierry Kremer (Amicale Steinsel)
It will be a very close game, but T71 remains the clear favorite in my opinion. They have great quality on every position and with « Cath » (Catherine Mreches), they have the difference maker.
Dragana Zoric (Etzella)
It is going to be an interesting game, there is more pressure on T71 since they were the favorite to win from the beginning of the season. I think T71 will win, they are stronger inside and have more experience than Walferdange.
Vincent Gevrey (Basket Esch)
I think T71 will win the title. They have the most complete team in my opinion and they are more experienced than Résidence. T71 is athletic and the danger can come from anywhere. If Dudelange can repeat the defensive effort of game 2, limiting Logic and Cahill, that will be the key for them in this game. Résidence has shown competitiveness from the start and in every single game, this will be a great game to watch.
Louis Wennig (Musel Pikes)
T71 has to force Walferdange to play in the half court and limit the fastbreaks of Résidence. If T71 will then attack like they did in game 2, they will have a 6-10 point advantage going into the final quarter, that is what they need in order to stay cool. If the game is tied early or in the middle of the 4th quarter, I think Logic will use her routine to get the win for Walferdange.
The head-coach of Gréngewald did not want to make a prediction.
