The basketball championship will return this weekend. In fact, the first 2 games in the men’s Enovos League are scheduled for Friday evening.
Both promoted teams, Avanti Mondorf and US Heffingen, will play at home on Friday evening to tip off the season. For Mondorf, it is the first game on the highest level and therefore a special evening. The team of coach Bob Adam faces Sparta Bertrange, a team that certainly has high ambitions entering the season. Heffingen also faces one of the league favorites with Résidence Walfer, the Supercup winner from last Sunday. It will be interesting to see if the promoted teams can use the home court advantage to make the games thrilling.
The other 4 games are scheduled on Saturday. League champion Amicale Steinsel is in action on the road in Stadtbredimus, last year’s finalist Etzella Ettelbruck starts at home against Arantia Larochette.
