Our U16 boys played the third group game of the European Championship (Division B) on Saturday. The FLBB squad lost 41:79 against the unbeaten Netherlands.
After a slow start, Leis Sabotic sparked a comeback by Luxembourg before the break and the score was 28:34 heading into halftime. In the second half, Luxembourg only scored 13 more points and finally lost the game clearly. Leis Sabotic led Luxembourg in scoring with 14 points.
The fourth game will be played on Monday at 13:30 against Iceland.
Coaching staff: ,,The team was defeated today by a superior Netherlands team. After a strong second quarter the game fell to the bigger team. There was good energy from the bench which provided the team with some positive momentum. The boys will have a much needed day of rest.‘‘
