U16 boys lose against Bosnia, final game on Saturday

Our U16 boys played the second classification game (places 17-22) of the European Championship (Division B) on Thursday. Luxembourg lost 81:86 after intense final minutes.

In a close opening half, Lee Brosius beat the buzzer to tie the game at 41:41 heading into the locker rooms. In the fourth quarter, Luxembourg stormed back from a 10-point deficit but finally lost a close game by 5 points.

The next and final game of the competition is on the schedule on Saturday. Luxembourg needs a victory in order to avoid a relegation to « Division C », the opponent will be Ukraine.

Coaching staff: „The team was defeated in classification by Bosnia/Herzegovina. The game featured several ties and lead changes. Several players contributed on the scoreboard but were plagued by multiple turnovers and missed shots. The team will finish the competition on Saturday.“
