Our U16 played the second classification game of the European Championship (Division B) on Friday. Against Estonia, the FLBB squad lost 50:67.
Estonia was able to build a lead to start the game, Luxembourg came as close as 6 points before the break but was not able to make a comeback. 44 turnovers were too many for Luxembourg to compete for a victory in this game, the final game of the competition will be played on Saturday against Kosovo.
Luxembourg is playing in a 4-team group with Switzerland, Estonia and Kosovo, all teams face each other one time and the last placed team will relegate to Division C.

Coaching staff: „We lost the 2nd game for the places 17-20 against Estonia. Once again, we had problems with their aggressive defense and too many turnovers. It’s hard to win a game like that, even though we won the rebounds. Estonia was more aggressive and accurate in their shots. Tomorrow is the last game against Kosovo, which we must win to stay for sure in Division B. »
