Our U16 girls have lost the second classification game at the European Championship (Division B). On Friday, the FLBB squad lost 58:63 against Ireland.
Luxembourg will now compete for place 15 on Saturday against Bulgaria.
10 players scored points against Ireland but it was not enough to grab the victory on Friday. Joyce Isi Etute led Luxembourg with a double double of 14 points and 12 rebounds.

„Unfortunately in the beginning of the game we couldn’t find a good rhythm offensively and defensively. Our top scorer Isi Etute only scored 4 points in the first half . After half time we were much better, kept fighting all the way until the end and reduced the deficit to only a few points. 4 minutes before the end of the game, our best player Isi sprained her ankle, she will not be able to play the last game of the competition. Our girls showed a lot of character and a good mindset, however it was not enough to win. »
