Close loss for our U16 girls on Saturday at the European Championship (Division B). The FLBB squad lost 66:70 against Romania. Luxembourg stormed back in the final quarter (27:14) but the opponent was able to win in overtime.
Isa Hamalainen led the team with 19 points, Joyce Etute scored 18 points and added 22 rebounds.

Coaching staff:
During the first half, we did not play basketball like we should , the team wasn’t focused enough and didn’t execute our game plan .
After the half time, the red lions came back and showed a different side. The girls played a very good second half with a fantastic run in the last quarter. Unfortunately we couldn’t close the game and lost in overtime.
Sunday is a day off. On Monday Luxembourg will play its last group game against another strong team, Great Britain.
