Our U16 girls played another friendly game against Sparta Bertrange on Wednesday, the FLBB squad won the game 72:62 (25:9 / 15:12 / 20:24 / 12:17)
Just like in their first meeting two weeks ago, the FLBB girls played a strong first half (40:21). With an aggressive and changing defense, they forced Sparta to turnovers and were able to score on multiple fast break situations. After the break, Luxembourg lost its rhythm on offense, had too many turnovers and Sparta was able to take profit and won the second half (41:32).
For our U16 team, these 2 games were a great preparation and possibility to see where they need to work over the next weeks.
Next week, the U16 girls will play an international tournament (U16 trophy) in Mersch where they will meet Portugal, the Netherlands and Ireland. The girls are looking forward to facing these strong opponents.
