Our U18 boys played the semi final of the European Championship (Division C) on Saturday evening. The game against Armenia was very intense and in the end, Luxembourg won a nail biter with a difference of 7 points after overtime (85:78)!
The FLBB squad trailed by double digits in the third quarter but fought back and took the lead 3 minutes before the end of the game. In the final seconds of regulation, Armenia was able to tie the game at the free throw line and the game had to be decided in overtime. In the extra period, Luxembourg was able to take control in a hectic game with mutliple technical fouls.
Konan Oth led Luxembourg with a double double (26 points, 19 rebounds), he also had a nice dunk (video).
The FLBB team will now face Azerbaijan in the Gold medal game on Sunday (19:00).
