On Saturday, our U18 girls played the third classification game of the Division A European Championship. Against Slovenia, the FLBB squad lost 58:91.
Isa Hämäläinen and Joyce Etute each scored 14 points in the first half as Luxembourg was down 40:49 at the break. In the end, Slovenia clearly pulled away in the final 10 minutes of the game.
Hämäläinen led Luxembourg with 25 points, Joyce Isi Etute added a double double (18 points, 11 rebounds, 5 assists, 5 steals).

With this loss, it is official that our U18 women’s team will relegate to the second division for the next episode of the European Championship. The final game of the competition will be played on Sunday.
