Our women’s national team is currently preparing for the upcoming FIBA window in November 2024 with a 3 week summer camp. After a succesful last window with victories against Switzerland and Bosnia and Herzegovina in the FIBA EuroBasket 2025 Qualifiers, the team of coach Mariusz Dziurdzia is focused on the challenges ahead.
In addition to the weekly training sessions, a complete test was carried out by the LIHPS, which included strength, mobility and endurance as well as lactate tests.
Furthermore, 3 games were planned during this period. The women clearly won the first game on Saturday June 15th against the U20 women from Holland with a score of 67:37. The current week consists of further training sessions before they go to Selce (Croatia) for two friendly games against the Croatian women’s national team.
Svenia Nurenberg, Mandy Geniets and Kyra Coulon had to take a break during preparation to recover from their injuries. Isa Hämäläinen is preparing for the European Championships in August in Portugal with the U18 Women’s team, Laetitia Schumacher is on a summer break, Estelle Muller is currently studying in Germany and Julia Vujakovic and Sofie Fuglsang are currently in the USA.
