Dudelange takes 2-point lead over Steinsel / Gréngewald remains unbeaten

The women’s Enovos League was back in action with game day 4 of the second round of the regular season on Saturday and Sunday.

Saturday:
T71 Dudelange – Les Sangliers Wiltz 72:65
– T71 improves to 10:8 and takes a 2-point lead over Amicale
– Dudelange led 46:29 at the break but the guests from Wiltz fought back and reduced the deficit to 4 points with 1 minute remaining before Shalonda Winton decided the game with an and1-layup, Winton led a balanced T71-team with 14 points

AB Contern – Amicale Steinsel 86:46
– Contern improves to 12:6 and jumps to the second place (Sparta plays on Sunday), Steinsel’s record drops to 8:10, the deficit to Dudelange is 2 points with 3 games remaining
– Contern took an early lead and never looked back, Beyonce Bea scored 24 points and added 13 rebounds, Esmeralda Skrijelj and Lou Mathieu added 11 points

Sunday:
Basket Esch – Gréngewald Hueschtert 60:96
– Gréngewald remains unbeaten (18:0), the Pikes remain last in the league standings (2:16)
– The guests took control of the game early and cruised to an easy victory, Alexus Johnson led all scorers with 28 points

Musel Pikes – Sparta Bertrange 71:89
– Sparta retakes the second place in the standings (13:5) while Esch falls to a 4:14 record
– After a balanced first quarter (19:19), Sparta created a lead and won the game clearly in the end
– All 5 Sparta-starters scored in double digits, Regan Schenck and Nicole Torresani led the guests with 20 points
